A 32-year-old man found dead near a freeway on-ramp in Boyle Heights was identified Wednesday.
The body was found by a Caltrans crew just after 9 a.m. Tuesday near the on-ramp from Mission Road to the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The circumstances of the death were not immediately known, an officer said.
Personnel from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office were summoned to collect the body and a SigAlert was issued for the closure of the ramp.
He was identified Wednesday by the Medical Examiner’s Office as Jacob Dutcher, whose cause of death was listed as deferred.
