A three-vehicle collision involving a big rig that overturned near downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday blocked three northbound lanes of the Golden State (5) Freeway, but no one was hurt, authorities said.
The crash was reported near Cesar Chavez Avenue about 12:40 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi said.
A load of dirt spilled from the big rig, and crews worked to clear the roadway, an effort that was continuing an hour later, according to the CHP.
