A 28-year-old woman remained jailed Sunday for suspicion of murder for the stabbing death of a 31-year-old man in Lomita on Saturday.
The victim was later identified as Roderick Dunba’r.
The suspect was arrested about 1 p.m. Saturday, said Sgt. Paul Creason of the sheriff’s Lomita station.
“She gave herself up to us. She was arrested without any incident,” Creason said. “She lives right there on Western (Avenue).”
She was being held in lieu of $1 million bail, Deputy Juanita Navaro- Sanchez said.
The attack was at 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 26000 block of South Western Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Trina Schrader said.
Deputies arriving at the scene in response to an “assault victim’ call found the man lying on the sidewalk being treated by paramedics for stab wounds, said Lt. John Corina of the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.
The victim was transported to a hospital, where he died, Schrader said.
“Witnesses said they heard some type of disturbance and found the victim lying on the sidewalk bleeding from his wounds,’ Corina said.
There was a party at the location. according to media reports.
