A bar patron was shot and killed and a security guard was wounded in gunfire outside a popular nightclub in Inglewood Saturday.
It was not immediately disclosed who shot the man, identified by police as a bar patron. He was taken by paramedics to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
That man was pronounced dead at UCLA at 3:27 a.m., said Coroner’s Lt. David Smith.
A security officer suffered non-life threatening injuries, said Inglewood Police Lt. Oscar Mejia.
The shootings were outside the Savoy Entertainment Center nightclub on the 200 block of South La Brea Avenue at 2 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Pittman said.
