A 25-year-old woman was charged Tuesday with fatally shooting her brother and trying to kill her father and another man inside a Canyon Country apartment.
Jessica Paige Greenback of Canyon Country was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon on one count each of murder, false imprisonment by violence and child abuse, and two counts of attempted murder.
Greenback allegedly shot her 28-year-old brother, Johnnie, in the head early Sunday morning at an apartment she shared with him, her father and her 5- year-old sister.
She also allegedly shot her father — who sheriff’s officials said suffered a graze wound to the head — and fired at her father’s friend, who had spent the night at the apartment.
Greenback also is accused of refusing to allow her younger sister to leave the room where the shooting occurred, according to prosecutors.
A semi-automatic handgun was recovered at the scene.
Greenback has remained in jail since her arrest Sunday morning.
