A second earthquake shook the Los Angeles area again Sunday after an early-morning tremor in Culver City-Inglewood area. No damage was reported

The 2.1 earthquake apparently shook the Baldwin Hills at 12:51 p.m. Sunday. Automated sensors detected the quake, near the epicenter of Sunday morning’s magnitude 3.9 quake at 4:07 a.m. The epicenter of the 2.1 quake was near La Brea at Slauson avenues.

The 3.9 earthquake was centered between Culver City and Inglewood.

Los Angeles Fire Department helicopters were in the air checking for damage after the morning quake, and department spokesman Erik Scott said on Twitter, “No damage has been reported. LAFD is no longer in earthquake mode.”

The temblor was widely felt throughout greater Los Angeles area. The morning’s shake was the second earthquake in less than a month along the Newport-Inglewood fault.

The U.S. Geological Survey’s “Did You Feel It?” public reporting tool showed nearly 4,000 responses as of 6:30 a.m.
