One person was killed Saturday when a motorcycle went over the side of Angeles Crest Highway near the Mt. Waterman ski area in the Angeles National Forest.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, about 20 miles east of the Mount Wilson junction, at about 2:45 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The first report received by the California Highway Patrol indicated that an off-road vehicle had gone over the side, CHP Officer Peter Bishop said.
