A man and a woman who operated an art school out of their Diamond Bar home were found fatally stabbed inside the residence Thursday, prompting an investigation by sheriff’s homicide detectives.
The victims, who were in their late 50s or early 60s and lived alone, were found about 9:45 a.m. in their home in the 3300 block Bent Twig Lane, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A detective at the scene said they were found by a friend during a welfare check and that their bodies bore signs of trauma, possibly suffered during a struggle.
There was no sign of forced entry into the home, which did not appear to have been ransacked, Lt. John Corina told reporters.
“We’re in the process of just trying to figure out how they died and maybe who wanted them dead, who killed them, if they were having problems with somebody and if somebody was trying to maybe rob them, burglarize the house, or what was going on,” Corina said.
The victims’ names were not immediately released.
