
A woman in her 40s was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning as she was crossing a street in South Los Angeles.
The crash was reported at 1:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of Manchester Boulevard where the woman was crossing the street on foot, possibly jaywalking, Los Angeles Police said.
She was struck by a Land Rover and died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, police said.
Manchester Boulevard between Van Ness Avenue and Cimarron Street was closed for the investigation, police said.
