A homeless man in his 60s was in serious but stable condition Friday after he was mysteriously shot multiple times while sleeping on a sidewalk in Pomona, police said.
The attack was reported at 11:37 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of East Holt Avenue, said Pomona police Lt. Marcus Perez.
The man was asleep in front of a store when he was shot, Perez said. He was airlifted to a trauma center to be treated.
There were no witnesses and no information has been developed on a suspect, Perez said. Authorities were trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
