The last thing you want to find as you shuffle off to another day of work is that someone has slashed the tires of your car and you’re not going anywhere — except to an expensive tire store.

If you live in the Valley Glen area near Van Nuys, that’s just what happened to numerous vehicle owners, according to police.

Investigators don’t know why the suspect went on the vandalism spree on several blocks in the area of Hatteras Street and Mammoth Avenue, but they have secured surveillance video that shows a white or Hispanic man who appears to be in his 30s going from vehicle to vehicle, methodically stabbing tires, Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section said.

More than two dozen vehicles had their tires damaged, according to reports from the scene Monday morning.

Lily Shlyakman said the vandal damaged the tires on her car and her father’s.

“We were just like, ‘Whoa, what’s going on?'” she told FOX11.

Kerry Remsen was another victim.

“It’s so disgusting and so rude,” Remsen told CBS2. “I thought it was just mine. I thought maybe someone was mad at me.”
