A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday in a crash involving an SUV in the Castaic area.
The man, in his 20s, died at the scene of the collision, which occurred about 6:20 a.m. on SR 126 at Chiquito Canyon Road, the California Highway Patrol reported. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
The 2016 Yamaha R1 motorcycle was westbound on SR 126 when it collided with a 2013 Ford Escape SUV that was turning onto SR 126 from Chiquito Canyon Road, the CHP reported.
The man driving the Ford suffered minor injuries. Alcohol and/or drugs were not believed to have been involved in the crash.
