Two robbers forced their way into a large home in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles and tied up the residents before making off with cash and jewelry, police said Thursday.

The two female residents who were home at the time of the intrusion, which occurred about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at 4415 Cromwell Ave., were not injured, said Sgt. David Armas of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division.

Two males with handguns entered the home and forced the victims upstairs, making one of them open a safe, Armas said. The victims were then tied up and the robbers left the home with cash and jewelry.

The suspects’ faces were covered and they wore gloves, Armas said. The robbery is believed to have been random, he added.
