A woman was wounded in a shooting in Bell, police said Friday.
The shooting was reported about 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the 6900 block of California Avenue, said Bell police Sgt. John Walker. The woman was shot while she was outside, Walker said.
The victim was taken to a hospital where she was undergoing surgery, according to Walker.
Police did not have a suspect description.
