A Corona man was killed in a fiery crash Sunday as his vehicle rolled off a freeway ramp and boxloads of his bullets exploded in Ontario.

The crash was reported at 3:57 a.m. on the transition road from the northbound Ontario (15) to the eastbound San Bernardino (10) freeways, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.

The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene and was later identified as Sol Flores, 23, the CHP said.

Flores was driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler that had boxes of ammunition inside it, with some of the boxes strewn throughout the ditch.

Video shot by a freelance news photographer showed ammo exploding in the fire. A passerby also described his vain effort to pull Flores out of the burning car before his injuries became too severe.
