A 35-year-old Walnut woman was killed Wednesday in a two-car crash in Industry that sent her car careening into a concrete light standard and power pole.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene of the crash just before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and La Seda Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The other driver, a 20-year-old Diamond Bar man, was uninjured.

According to the CHP, the woman was westbound on Valley Boulevard in a 2015 Honda Accord, approaching La Seda Road, when the right rear of the woman’s car made contact with the left front of the man’s car, a 2013 Accord that was also westbound on Valley, during a lane change.

The impact caused the woman to lose control of her car, which hit the north sidewalk of Valley Boulevard “and struck a concrete light standard and power pole” on “the driver’s side of the vehicle,” according to a CHP statement.
