The body of a young woman who had been stabbed was found Friday in Carey Ranch Park in Mission Hills.
A park employee found the body about 6:15 a.m. at Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Crestknoll Drive and notified authorities, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the woman, who police said was in her 20s.
No arrests were reported. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
