Police Wednesday sought the public’s help in identifying a woman who they believe broke into a locker at a 24-Hour Fitness gym in Glendale, took the victim’s belongings — as well as her vehicle, which was recovered in a nearby parking lot.

Police also believe the suspect used the victim’s credit card at an area Home Depot, said Tahnee Lightfoot of the Glendale Police Department, adding that the suspect may have also committed a similar locker burglary on the same day and stole a vehicle at the Crescenta-Canada Family YMCA in La Canada-Flintridge.

The locker burglary in Glendale occurred about 2 p.m. on June 29,at 450 N. Brand Ave., where the victim placed a gym bag and other personal belongings into a locker and used a combination lock to secure the locker, Lightfoot said.

“When the victim returned, the lock was removed and her belongings were missing,” she said. “The victim then went to the parking lot and found her vehicle missing as well. The vehicle was later recovered in a nearby parking lot.”

The suspect was described as a woman between the age of 28 and 38, with a medium build, dyed blonde hair and last seen wearing a black sport band on her left forearm, she said.

Glendale police asked anyone with any information regarding the burglary to call them at (818) 548-2097.
