One man has died and another was injured in a shooting on Wilmington Avenue in Compton, sheriff’s deputies said.
It was reported at 8:32 p.m. Saturday on the 2000 block of Wilmington where one man was found to have a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The second man was shot in the lower body and taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition, Koerner said.
Deputies did not have any information on the suspect or the motive.
