Officers in Pomona Sunday morning arrested a known gang member who was trying to hide a loaded handgun.
Officers working gang suppression in the area of the 2000 block of Las Vegas Avenue at 1 a.m. noticed a group of people in an alley loitering near what police said was a stolen vehicle, the Pomona Police Department reported.
Officers contacted Pomona resident Ronald Canales, 34, and El Monte resident Jacob Lozano, 24, near the vehicle and found another suspect, El Monte resident Adryan Obert, 29, hiding in a nearby garage belonging to Canales.
“Officers conducted a search of the garage based on Obert’s probation terms,” according to a news statement.
