A man was shot in the lower body Saturday when he tried to break up a fight among juveniles in San Pedro, authorities said.
It happened about 6:15 p.m. in the 100 block of South Arboles Court, according to Lt. E. Holyfield of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Station.
The suspect was described as a 40-year-old man, according to a dispatcher in the Los Angeles Police Department Operations Center.
Paramedics took the 42 year-old victim to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, where he had stable vital signs, the dispatcher said.
