Three men died in a shooting in North Hollywood, but police said Saturday there is no threat to the community, meaning the tragedy is believed to be a murder/suicide.
The victims were found at a home in the 11000 block of Aqua Vista Street, near Vineland Avenue, at 11:10 p.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Phana Subpramoon had armed himself with a shotgun and shot Joseph Marcotte, 67 and Jaturong Siriprasit, 69, multiple times, police said. Subpramoon then walked into the living room and turned the weapon on himself, ending his own life. police said.
Paramedics pronounced all three people dead at the scene.
“The motive behind this tragic murder/suicide is still under investigation, but investigators believe that there was a dispute of some kind that triggered this incident. Investigators also determined that Phana was related to Jaturong,” police said in a statement.
