Two people were injured Wednesday in a collision in Desert Hot Springs involving a semi truck and a sedan.
The crash was reported at the intersection of Indian Canyon Drive and Mission Lakes Boulevard at 12:50 a.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Both victims had to be freed from the wreckage and were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, the other with moderate injuries, fire department officials said.
The crash forced the closure of nearly three miles of Indian Canyon Drive for several hours while crews cleaned up debris from the crash.
The cause of the collision was under investigation.
