A 35-year-old Garden Grove man pleaded not guilty Friday to raping a family member who had passed out following a night of drinking.
Francisco Albert Giron was charged with a felony count of rape by use of drugs, according to court records. He was next due in court June 26 in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
Giron went to party with relatives at a nightclub and returned home about 2 a.m. on July 14 of last year, where he helped the alleged victim, who was inebriated, into a bedroom, according to Garden Grove police Lt. Carl Whitney.
Giron was accused of raping the 24-year-old woman who was passed out from drinking, Whitney said.
No further details were available, including the relationship of the woman and the suspect.
