Two people believed to be in their teens died Friday at a residence in Lancaster, possibly of stab wounds, and homicide detectives were sent to the scene.

The deaths were reported about 8 a.m. in the 45000 block of Century Circle, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, paramedics went to the location on a report of a possible natural gas leak.

However, sheriff’s Lt. Brandon Dean told reporters at the scene that the pair, apparently a male and a female in their teens, may have been stabbed and apparently did not die as a result of a natural gas leak.

Information was not immediately available on their identities.

Dean told reporters that investigators were interviewing four people who were in the residence at the time. Anyone with more information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
