A juvenile accused of posting nude or partially nude photos of underage girls on social media in acts of “revenge porn” was arrested in Glendale, police said Monday.

An investigation into the posts began in October, when police responded to a report from a girl who told them that several people she followed on Snapchat reposted an account “that had pictures and videos of naked, under-age girls,” the Glendale Police Department said in a news release.

“The pictures and videos had names listed, and sometimes what middle or high school (in Glendale) they attended,” the department said.

Police identified and spoke to 14 underage victims who had photos of them posted by the same account, and identified a possible suspect. Officers obtained a search warrant on the Snapchat account, and information gleaned from it “confirmed a suspect based on IP Addresses and other account information,” according to the department.

Police said the juvenile suspect, whose age was not released, appeared to be out of the country when he made the posts.

After speaking with the suspect at his home Feb. 19, he was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct relating to revenge porn, police said.
