Authorities investigating the disappearance of a woman last seen in the Mar Vista area in December were conducting a search of the nearby Ballona Wetlands and Ballona Creek Friday, police said.
Kolby Story, 32, was last seen on Dec. 7, 2020, in the 12300 block of Pacific Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“She has not been seen since and her family is extremely concerned for her safety,” police said in a statement.
Kolby was described as a white, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing about 115 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
On Friday, personnel from the LAPD and the California Office of Emergency Service, Fire and Rescue Division, including canine teams, were conducting a search of the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve and Ballona Creek for Kolby, according to the LAPD.
