Police are investigating the death of a man who was attacked in Marina del Rey Tuesday.
Officers were sent to the 600 block of Washington Boulevard at about 6 a.m. on a report of a battery on a person, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics were sent to the scene regarding a man in “cardiac arrest,” but did not transport anyone for hospital treatment, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Police did not immediately confirm a report from the scene that the victim might have been stabbed, and that one person was detained.
