Manhattan Beach police Saturday investigated the death of a 67-year-old man found in a hot tub.
Douglas Aziz of Manhattan Beach was found unresponsive at 11:02 a.m. Friday inside a hot tub at a home in the 1400 block of 11th Street, about a block south of Manhattan Beach Fire Station No. 2, according to a Manhattan Beach Police Department statement.
Civilians and first responders tried to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.
The cause of Aziz’s death was deferred pending additional testing by the Medical Examiner’s office, police said.
