A fire that burned for 52 minutes Wednesday evening damaged a three-story house in Benedict Canyon but no injuries were reported.

Firefighters responded to a residential fire in the 9700 block of Oak Pass Road, near Benedict Canyon Drive, north of Beverly Hills, around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

“Crews advanced hose lines up the stairs and made access to the fire floor, extinguishing the flames in 52 minutes,” Prange said.

What may have sparked the fire was unclear, and a cause was under investigation.
