A woman was shot and killed Friday evening in Mar Vista.
Officers responded to the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Centinela Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Friday to a report regarding shots fired, where a woman sustained fatal injuries, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and detectives were conducting an investigation Friday evening to determine if the shooting was self-inflicted or a homicide.
