A man possibly armed with a knife and who allegedly was vandalizing property was barricaded Monday in a residence in Northridge, and officers were working to take him into custody.
Officers went to the 18900 block of Bahama Street about 8 a.m. on a report of a man vandalizing windows, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities did not immediately summon SWAT officers to the scene. The standoff was continuing several hours afterward.
No injuries were reported.
