One person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Lancaster and authorities Wednesday are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The crash was reported at 7:22 a.m. Tuesday and California Highway Patrol officers responded to state Route 138 at 90th Street West and upon further investigation, they learned a 2005 Toyota driving south on 90th Street and a 2015 Freightliner driving west on State Route 138 crashed, said CHP Officer Monique Mischeaux.

The driver of the Toyota died from their injuries sustained in the collision.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in this traffic crash at this time, Mischeaux said.

Two juvenile passengers from the Toyota were taken by helicopter to Northridge Hospital Medical Center with major injuries. The driver of the Freightliner sustained minor injuries and was taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center.
