A fatal shooting occurred on a Metro bus in Commerce Thursday, according to a broadcast report.
Deputies responded to the 6200 block of Slauson Avenue, between Eastern and Garfield avenues, around 4:50 p.m. regarding a shots fired called, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
One person was taken to a hospital, where they later died.
The shooting occurred on a Metro bus, KCAL reported, citing information from Metro officials.
Several media outlets initially reported that the shooting occurred near or on a Metro bus but sheriff’s officials could not immediately confirm those reports.
