A man who became trapped under a vehicle near downtown Los Angeles was extricated near Sunday.
Using heavy rescue rigging, firefighters were able to secure the vehicle on 658 S. Bixel St., near Wilshire Boulevard, in the Westlake District around 7 p.m. Sunday, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. It was unclear how the man became trapped.
The man was described as alert and responsive to the crews that rescued him, Stewart added. He was set to be transported to a hospital for further treatment.
