Firefighters Saturday knocked down a fire in one unit at a row of one-story bungalows in the Vermont Square community of Los Angeles, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 10:55 a.m. to 526 W. 47th St. had the fire out within 19 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“Firefighters contained the fire to one unit, preventing it from extending into the attic,” said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
