A 24-year-old woman pleaded guilty Tuesday and was immediately sentenced to 364 days in jail for a deadly crash in La Palma nearly four years ago.
Leslie Melissa Bernal pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter in the March 9, 2021, crash that killed 39-year-old Joaquin Lopez.
According to the criminal complaint, Bernal was accused of driving at an unsafe speed and inattention in the crash.
