A 42-year-old Blythe man was released from custody Tuesday after being arrested on a domestic violence charge.
Blythe Police Department officers responded Saturday to a home in the 3500 block of Wells Road, according to a department statement.
Police said a woman who “sustained significant visible injuries” was unable to contact 911 after local resident Garrett McKean took her phone. A neighbor called for help on her behalf, the department said.
McKean was found Monday evening in the 800 block of East Hobsonway, where he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and preventing a victim from reporting a crime, according to police.
Inmate records indicate that he was out of custody the following morning.
