One person was found dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting in Banning, police said Tuesday.
Police officers were dispatched shortly after 6:50 p.m. Monday to the area of Eighth and Ramsey streets regarding a shooting, where they located two men who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Banning Police Department.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and a second victim was transported to a trauma center.
The identities of the victims were withheld pending investigation.
The shooting was under investigation by Banning police, in collaboration with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Forensic Team and Coroners Bureau.
