Police Wednesday sought the public’s help in identifying a driver who left the scene of a collision that left a motorcycle rider severely injured in downtown Los Angeles.
Around 7:55 p.m. on March 23, a black Jeep Gladiator was eastbound on Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and turned left onto Bunker Hill Avenue, striking a westbound motorcycle.
The driver of the Jeep did not stop and instead drove from the scene, continuing west on Cesar E. Chavez, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics took the man who was riding the motorcycle to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were described as severe.
Anyone with information that could help investigators locate the suspect was urged to call Officer Chung with the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division at 213-833-3713.
