An investigation was underway Monday into the shooting of two people in Coachella.
Deputies responded to a report at 9:12 p.m. Sunday in the 53000 block of Calle Soledad regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez.
A witness told authorities that a man driving a vehicle crashed into another vehicle, was heard shouting that he was shot and drove away.
Deputies later found two shooting victims at a local hospital, both in stable condition, Brito-Gonalez said.
The circumstances behind the shooting were not immediately available, and the identities of the victims were not revealed.
No arrests were made.
