Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Thursday are investigating the fatal shooting of a man near what authorities allege is an illegal gambling site in Lancaster.
Deputies from the department’s Lancaster Station responded to the 300 block of W. Avenue J-2 and Sierra Highway regarding a shots fired call at approximately10:16 p.m. Wednesday, according to LASD Homicide Lt. Michael Modica.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
