One person is in custody Tuesday after leading California Highway Patrol officers on a chase that ended in West Los Angeles.
CHP officers attempted to stop a black BMW SUV at 1:48 a.m. Tuesday for speeding, but the driver failed to stop and led police on a chase on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The driver exited the freeway at Santa Monica Boulevard and sped toward the 2100 block of Beloit Avenue and Mississippi Avenue, where the vehicle crashed into a building, Garcia said.
Officers took the suspect into custody at the site of the crash.
