A juvenile was hospitalized Wednesday with non-life-threatening injuries after crashing a motorized pocket bike into a vehicle in Menifee.

The crash was reported shortly before noon Wednesday at the intersection of First Star Court and Menifee Road, according to the Menifee Police Department.

The person driving a pocket bike was traveling at an unconfirmed speed on the wrong side of the roadway when it crashed into a Subaru, police said. The rider was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the bike upon impact, according to police.

Paramedics at the scene said the rider suffered a fractured right wrist and abrasions. A parent was notified and took the child to a hospital.

The Subaru driver, identified only as a 36-year-old Menifee man, did not sustain any injuries.

Drugs and/or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, the department said.

The investigation was ongoing.

Anyone with additional information was asked to call 951-723-1566.
