A woman was struck and killed Saturday by a pickup truck that fled the scene in Van Nuys, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 12:50 a.m. Saturday in the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Wyandotte Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
A gray 2005-11 Toyota Tacoma was traveling north on Sepulveda when the vehicle struck the woman, who was walking eastbound in an unmarked crosswalk, police said.
The truck continued northbound on Sepulveda without stopping. Arriving paramedics pronounced the woman, who was approximately 38 years old, dead at the scene.
