A Silver Alert was in effect Tuesday for a 93-year-old woman with dementia who was last seen in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.
Sangyeon Han was last seen at about 10 a.m. Saturday walking in the 100 block of Commonwealth Avenue, near First Street and Beverly Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Han was described as Asian, 5 feet tall and weighing about 100 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes, but no description was made available of the clothes she wearing when last seen.
The California Highway Patrol activated a Silver Alert regarding Han on behalf of the LAPD.
Such alerts, which include freeway electronic signage, are issued when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at risk to help locate them more quickly.
Anyone with information regarding Han’s whereabouts was urged to call 911 or LAPD missing persons investigators at 213-996-1800.
