A 56-year-old woman who was shot along with two others in Long Beach 10 days ago has died, police said Wednesday.
The shooting occurred at about 11:25 p.m. on Aug. 9, drawing officers to the 100 block of East Pacific Coast Highway near Avalon Boulevard, where they located three wounded women, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“Officers rendered medical aid until relieved by Long Beach Fire Department personnel, who transported one victim in critical condition and two victims with non-life-threatening injuries to local hospitals,” according to the LBPD.
The critically wounded victim, later identified as Claudine Williams of Long Beach, died at a hospital on Friday.
The shooter was gone by the time police arrived, but detectives believe the attack was not random. Suspect information was not immediately available and the motive and circumstances of the attack were under investigation.
