Crews rescued three dogs from a burning home Wednesday in East Hollywood, and a woman was detained on suspicion of arson, authorities said.
The blaze was reported around 9:45 a.m. at a one-story duplex in the 800 block of North Kenmore Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
All residents safely evacuated before firefighters arrived, authorities said.
The three dogs were safely rescued from the home and were in good condition, according to the department. Firefighters were continuing to search the residence for an additional dog, described as a neighbor’s puppy.
More than two dozen firefighters contained the flames in about 14 minutes, the LAFD said.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a caller reported that a family member had set the fire following a dispute. A woman was taken into custody, and arson investigators responded to the scene, police said.
