LeBron James broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s regular-season career minutes record Thursday evening.

James set the record one minute, 23 seconds into the second quarter when he reached 10 minutes for the game against the Kings in Sacramento and 57,447 for his career.

Abdul-Jabbar played 57,446 minutes in 1,560 games over 20 seasons. James entered Thursday’s game with 57,437 minutes in 1,516 games over 22 seasons.

James broke Abdul-Jabbar’s combined regular season and playoff career record of 66,297 minutes on Nov. 27, 2023, when he played 29 minutes in a 138-94 loss at Philadelphia that gave him a combined 66,318 minutes.
