Glen Campbell and a production house settled the company’s lawsuit alleging the firm was wrongfully excluded from participating in a documentary about the “Galveston” singer.
Lawyers for the Record Company filed court papers on Nov. 16 with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Holly Kendig stating that the case with the Alzheimer’s disease-stricken singer was resolved. No terms were divulged.
The suit, filed in September 2014, alleged the Record Company’s representatives contracted with Campbell in June 2011 to work with producer/director James Keach on a documentary called “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.” The film followed the 79-year-old singer on his final tour as he and his family dealt with his Alzheimer’s disease.
The Record Company was not given shared credit and compensation from the documentary despite an exclusive agreement with Campbell, the lawsuit stated.
Campbell’s lawyers denied any wrongdoing on his part, stating in their court papers that even if a contract existed their client did not breach its terms.
